Would be cool if someone pasted a lightning email address into a message, then when I clicked on it my phone knew to use my wallet app of choice by default. Right now it tries to open the Email program. Know this would probably be hard to determine which is which other than the more popular addresses like getalby or walletofsatoshi.

Its possible to check if an email is a lnaddress by looking up the .well-known. I don't know if this can be automated under android without directing all emails through your lightning wallet and redirecting it to email client if it isn't a lightning address.

Maybe the same way we tag someone now with @, a character could be used before the address to mark it as lightning

Thats what matrix does and its a little disorienting. They chose email format for a reason.
