I was wrong actually. I just looked and you can actually withdraw bitcoin from Robinhood ✌️
Before, you were essentially just buying a stock that followed the price of bitcoin, but never any actual bitcoin.
Europoor here 👋 Wonder what their withdrawal fees are..
Once I tried buying/withdrawing Bitcoin from Revolut but the fees were YUGE! I still thought it was cool of them to add withdrawals, and now they accept Bitcoin deposits too, but I never tried that.
I think most "stock" brokerages have added withdrawals by now, even if they weren't a thing last cycle. And I would think they're much safer than crypto-exchanges. No withdrawals was probably a skill issue not a fractional reserve thing.
Too much on the line for established audited businesses vs a start-up crypto platform.
Still silly to do and would not recommend but when you're new and clueless trying to give this Bitcoin thing a chance, I can see how that happens. 🙈
