Bitcoiners in Turkiye had an amazing meeting!

we had an amazing weekend at Yuva (https://yuvayiz.com/yuva-pansiyon)!!

most of us know each other through internet and only a few of us had the chance to meet irl. But this weekend, with the help of Aysegul from Yuva and El Flaco from Yirmibir, there was such a gathering! Right in the middle of the nature, full of plebs, a few nocoiners and newcomers, delicious meals...

Some plebs arrived a day earlier and had a little more fun than the rest :D we talked about bitcoin (doh), its origin, its philosophy, where its heading to, whats the recent events and situation that we are facing... just like that. we jumped right into the subject after a little "nice to meet you" chit-chat.

The next day more plebs and some newcomers joined. We talked about bitcoin (dohx2) but this time the education mode was on. discussed and answered questions, we explained self custody and its importance, we explained what is cantillon effect? and who are cantilloners? whats the deal with them?, watched the video "The Untold Secrets of Guatemala's Bitcoin Lake" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYdp8yS1exU) and discussed the situation there and what can be done here in Turkiye. We talked about nostr, how to use it, why to use it, how it effects our property rights and the property rights in general on social media especcialy on twitter after recent changes in their policy. We talked about value4value and how will it change our perspective on the content and our spending habits. Then the essential part, wallets and lightning...

It was a quite a weekend on my part. Meeting plebs in real life is amazing but having a conversation with them like we knew each other for 30 years and never be a part, with any of them, without any exception is priceless.

Along with all those delicious meals, Aysegul surprised us with a delicious cake!

There are more photos of the event but im going to put this one here. Meet-ups are essential people! Attend them! you ll never regret it.

Wow, it sounds like the Bitcoiners in Turkiye had a blast at the meeting! I'm glad you all had such a great time bonding over Bitcoin and enjoying delicious meals. Meeting people from the internet in person can be quite an experience, especially when you feel like you've known each other for decades. And that cake looks absolutely scrumptious! Thanks for sharing the photos, it definitely seems like meet-ups are indeed essential. Keep having those awesome gatherings and spreading the Bitcoin love!
