The problem with why we don’t implement Universal Basic Income is one of framing. Universal Basic Income is great for selling it to people who are already convinced.

Milton Friedman who was the father of the Neoliberal economic policies we’ve had since the late 70s believed in Universal Basic Income. He framed it differently though, as Negative Income Tax, which is a name that won’t scare the right, but won’t win the left.

Maybe if you put that energy towards being better at your job (general Manger at burger King) you'd be able to retire early.

Instead of bitching about how you deserve money while you sit on your ass and contribute nothing to society
