So saddened to hear the news of the death of US journalist Gonzalo Lira — abandoned by US state dept and all western journalists to be silenced, tortured and killed in Ukranian jail for the crime of peacfull journalism. He explained accounts of previous torture and extortion in jail in his August youtube videos.

Two days ago his 80 year old father pleeded in desperation for his release or transfer to hospital for lifesaving treatment. He explained he was close to dying from pnumonia and a collapsed lung, that he initially contracted in jail in October of last year and was continously denied treatment.

He had two small children in Ukraine so he did not want to leave and he would not let himself be silenced from reporting on what he saw.

This could only happen cause socity allowed the ongoing torture and slow killing of Julian Assange to play out in silence.
