Interesting. I guess what I'm looking for is a true P2P functionality or side to Nostr. That would be the true end to censorship. Because from what I understand it seems like the current system is still censorable. Albeit on a smaller scale. But the possibility is still there I think?

I've been thinking about the idea of having a kind of NIP that implemented a P2P system, something simple, either based on Secure ScuttleButt, Aether, or just something new but simple, where clients (computers, smartphones) host at least a specific part of the content, configurable on the client itself. So probably they would host own posts first and maybe some other configurable content.

And if it was implemented at a NIP level people could use their same clients (Nos.social) and it would just work. Relays with P2P functionality would just operate the same sort of trustless server system to route messages between clients. This would offer a completely uncensorable system as long as clients are connected.

But maybe this already exists and I'm missing something?
