I think we should have metadata to allow accounts to self identify as a bot different clients can do what they would like with this…

but I’d like to see

- render their usernames not as @bot but /bot

- separate mention feed for /bots

this doesn’t solve the issue of spamy bots or botnets boosting stats… but it sure would make useful bot accounts much more of a feature than a burden on my mention feed.
