Can anyone with a little nostr experience, tell me what’s holding an edit feature back? I’m guessing it should be doable, with some work on client side? Is there something which is blocking this or is it just not a Dev priority atm?

it’s based on relay so i guess would be difficult to even add an edit feature
Edits could always be evident, you don’t want to edit a note, you just want the users to see the last note which was marked as an edit. Anyone should be able to see the entire edit history at any point in time. Relays can keep functioning as usual, clients just need to honour certain events as edits.
You can’t delete or edit a note in the protocol.
Some clients could add those actions but from a client perspective. Notes will remain unedited and undeleted in the protocol
You cannot “edit” on the protocol level, if I understand it well. You sent a note signed by your private key, it went off to relays..
Just like you cannot edit the email you just sent…
But I’m not #nostr dev😉
