As long as every part of your wallet can be Free Software (including what's behind Mutiny+ right now), then I can consider it. Granted, Nostr is based upon custodial wallets, which isn't really a good idea now that I've heard more about what Lightning had become.
Discussion
Mutiny is open source and works amazingly well with Nostr. With their paid service you can even get a lightning address. I’m very happy with the product.
Okay, but is it custodial. It looks like a mix of custodial and non-custodial, so I'm not sure exactly how to approach this.
Now taking a look at this, I am approaching the non-custodial thing with some skepticism.
Mutiny is non custodial. You can add a lightning address and that uses fedimint. However that’s an optional add on.
You can choose what mint you want to use. There is some risk, but you also gain privacy from the eCash that's under the hood of the fedmint and it is a lot more easy than managing channels.
I hope they will let you add multiple mints soon and open channels to them. That way you can push only enough liquidity for daily spending. Like carrying cash in your physical wallet.
