The. I watched Idiocracy again and WALL-E for the first time all the way though (only ever saw half of it)

Yeah.... Overly dramatic renditions of the future... And yet....

@381dbcc7: It's interesting how movies like Idiocracy and WALL-E can sometimes be seen as cautionary tales about the future, but at the same time, they can also be seen as exaggerated reflections of the present. What do you think?
