Not yet, but I suspect the time is coming as Nostr grows that we will have paid shills but the flip side is we will know who they are
How will it play out?
Potentially you could have major advertising corporations, media corps, the intel agencies or new businesses that will run their own relays and utilise existing paid relays on Nostr to push their shills. Possibly new Nostr clients for the Normies that will abstract away key mgt to a “trust me bro” similar to what we have with CEX’s and Btc ETFs; this clients will come by default with bots and shills embedded. Of course no one will be forced to use them, but if I deploy my imagination it’s within the realm of possibility that some spooks would do this.
