Got a resume with pronouns on their LinkedIn page. My initial thought was I will never hire someone like that, but then I thought about all the complaints I’ve had about my beliefs and genetic makeup being actively discriminated against in the corporate world, and I don’t want to do the same in reverse. Or does the mere fact you have pronouns listed mean you aren’t an independent thinker, and you should be disqualified. Thoughts?

They could be an independent thinker and decided this was the best way to be inclusive.
I would argue she is being exclusive to half the country that does not agree with the ideology that pronouns stem from, but appreciate the point.
I would look at how opinionated and problematic they are on social media. While I believe this ridiculous wokism is completely mental, I wouldn't discriminate against someone suffering, for example, from schizophrenic tendencies. However, if they are so woke that you can see it being detrimental to company growth and meshing, then you have that right to set that resume on fire. Just post the video afterwards.
I still think it’s virtue signaling…
And improper use shows lazy grammar skills….
But thank them for showing you who they are and believe them.
But why hire that mentality?
Equality > Equity
If otherwise of interest, interview and decide on a case by case basis...
Definitely the overall correct move. However, I would like all ideology and politics removed from the workplace. Declaring a political stance in your bio makes it hard to have that dynamic on my team.
Understood. Tough call.
If you're still at the resume stage, you're probably not at risk from discrimination litigation, so it may be wise to pass. Possible exception might be if the applicant appears to be the only truly, brilliantly qualified one available ...
Hire a team and than watch them debate personal opinions and preferences and get nothing done in your business.
