Replying to Avatar Laeserin

Regulation has never prevented anyone from doing anything. I've been an auditor for way too long to believe in regulation. I am convinced that only moral rectitude can prevent error. Regulation is only there to remind people of a possible source of erro, and if you have too much regulation, you lose that signal. You have to change people's hearts. Reframe the way they think about things, so that they can see the same problems that you see and feel the same urge to avoid those problems.

People don't want to do that because it requires a lot of sacrifice on their part, but it's how things sustainably change in the most efficient manner.
