I have to go off amethyst to make my lists...
I don't even use them at all.
(Normies want the app to be able to do it all without flip floping apps / windows)
The whole point of nostr is to use multiple apps that complement each other. The bigger the amount of apps you use, the happier you will be.
I know that... but I'm thinking as I don't know anything about nostr or bitcoin.
A majority of social media users today are mobile only. Nostr may feel like early MySpace days etc, but the fact of the matter is... folks don't carry around laptops or sit at desktops like they used to anymore.
This trying 12 different clients and putting your nsec into each, because each has a cool feature or 2 on its own, is what I think is hindering nostr taking over other social networks.
Most normies want ONE app, that can do it all.
When a client comes that takes all the cool features of current nostr clients and puts them into one client...

It's not about agreement. It's just the way things are. People are really missing out if they are stuck with just one client.
Respectfully, users care about convenience
You are right. But the convenience to do a live stream in a dedicated live stream app will always be better than in Amethyst. The convenience to organize your lists and highlights will always be 10x better on highlighter than on Amethyst. There is no single UI to rule it all.

Lists are powerful. Two lists are enough to specify a graph: one list for nodes, one for edges. And many (all?) data structures can be represented as graphs.
Which is why I think it’s important to build tools that allow us to crowdsource lists. bc if we can crowdsource lists, then we can crowdsource any data structure.
