This cycle (a kind of Lean Startup methodology, albeit applied to a collection of protocols and clients, not just one) is what some of the other Web3 social media protocols like Lens don't get. There, one has to jump through multiple hoops - join this Discord, link to your twitter, connect your wallet - just to be allowed to try it. Sure, they might create a sense of artificial scarcity and desirability, but they're being left behind in the dust by nostr!
