When I was a kid, my grandma use to give me a slice of bread also with lard, sprinkled with a bit of sugar... it was pretty good! 😁

I've always put butter on bread, but somehow never thought to spread lard on it 😂

In France we call it saindoux. Some season it with salt, peppers, herbs and spices.

In other words… bread and butter? Yes it’s good. Also good with 🧄 and Parmesan cheese.

In Hungary, we also like this, but duck fat is better! 😋
