I finally sat down and set up my #Lightning node on nostr:npub1aghreq2dpz3h3799hrawev5gf5zc2kt4ch9ykhp9utt0jd3gdu2qtlmhct. Opened a channel, connected my node to the nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 app, and paired my node with nostr:npub19hg5pj5qmd3teumh6ld7drfz49d65sw3n3d5jud8sgz27avkq5dqm7yv9p to #zap directly from my node.
It's about time I sat down and did this to commit to self-soverignty.

Ahh. I've just upgraded to one of the n100 Umbrel devices with the 2tb nvme drive and it only took 3 days. The 16gb ram would have helped too I guess.
Nice. I did have a NUC node that was faster but it became unreliable so I’ve retired it to lighter duties.
Now the big question is do I trash this nsec as I’ve been using primal and start a fresh. Hmm….
Can you share any resources you used to 1) open a channel on Umbrel 2) pair node from Zeus to Nostr app via NWC 3) which app and phone combo did you use (e.g., Damus and iPhone)? Mostly I am sending zaps via Mutiny to people I follow on Nostr. I like Primal, but don’t want to use their wallet, preferring self-sovereign option. Is there a way to connect Damus/iOS app to Umbrel node via NWC? TY
You don't have to use the in built primal wallet. Primal also works with NWC. On Android it does anyway.
BTCSessions's YouTube videos explaining how to set up channels on Umbrel helped a ton, it also explains how to connect Zeus to your node
