Both the drugs and the violence are just symptoms.

The cause is what needs to be addressed.

The economic inequalities and lack of opportunities.

People's trauma needs to also be addressed.

You don't become a violent criminal or an opportunistic drug addict for no reason.

The society is what's sick. The cycle of abuse must be broken.

The way the state abuses it's people and allows the banks and corporations to abuse it's people is at the root of all this.

Solutions will take generations to implement because of the hindrance and pushback we get from the state.

The police and the courts aren't here to help us, they just maintain the current order and collect revenue on behalf of the state.

I am a prison abolitionist.

The only people I think that are worth locking up, should just be euthanized instead.

If a dog mauls a child, you put it down.

and typically, those kinds of people rarely spend time in prison anyway because our prisons are all run for profit and those people are kept segregated for their own safety and hence can't work, so judges give them the lightest sentences possible.

Only to reoffend again and again.

Our society is sick. Prisons full of drug addicts while repeat offending pedophiles are given work at daycare centres. (Look up any of the dozens that have made news recently in Australia that were known to police andyou'll understand the police and courts don't exist to protect you or your kids
