In Brazil we can get lot’s of medicines totally for free. And we have a free public health system.

When I was very young I used to think if a poor country like us had this, everywhere was like this as well.

My history teacher told us once a story about when he received a French person home, it was on Rio de Janeiro I think

the person drank water directly from the tap, which... is a bad idea, and then needed to go to the SUS

that day, there was no lines; they entered, got a session, got the medicine, and everything was less than half an hour, and the person was profundly confused about who they should pay for the treatment

this person is now a preacher for public health system... based on this experience with the SUS

🥹 Yes, I hear lot’s of examples like that. When foreigners needs to use our SUS and get surprised that they doesn’t have to pay.

I am hooting for him!
