This is my first time hearing about Lineage. Anyone up for explaining the differences between it and Graphene?

I've used a fork or LineageOS for over a decade at this point.

I usually only buy phones that have support for it.

I've been running custom roms since the original G1.

Lineage works well nearly all the time and has excellent updates.

Lineage OS is a fork of CyanogenMod. CyanogenMod was one of the most popular ROMs for the better part of a decade. They went commercial. The company imploded. Many core devs reformed under Lineage OS.

GrapheneOS and Lineage are very different. GrapheneOS is more privacy focused.

GrapheneOS is also a lot harder for people to wrap their heads around.

I have fond memories of thinking I knew what I was doing and bricking a phone trying to install Cyanogenmod

LineagOS has too many targets.

GrapheneOS + Pixel is best path at present, until a chip + phone is made πŸ˜‰
