I think the paper is telling me it's warped enough. Trying to take a picture of shiny graphite is difficult.

Really need to stop drawing on my knee and implement a piece of paper between my dragging hand.

Scanners can work alright with graphite, and then you can digitally paint into it as well. I like doing absurdly high res scans, like 1200 ppi or even higher. Then you see stuff you never would have guessed was there.
