I had a nice solo cross country ski outing this morning. My wife dropped me off at the top of a trail near our house that gradually decends 600 feet over 3 miles. The trail was kind of rough. It was a bit drifted over and parts were full of deep moose tracks, but the weather was glorious. 30 degrees, blindingly intense sun and just enough breeze to keep you from over heating. Flocks of song birds were out twittering and I saw a snowshoe hare that had a couple of brown spots on its ears. Spring is coming.
