If you trust the mint then you can keep the cashu ecash. If you want to cash out (into lightning) you have that option with cashu. The mint will send to a lightning address.

So for the “pay another person” option, if the person takes ecash, you can send them a token. If they take lightning, you can pay the lightning invoice.
