can relays give events in reverse order, like adding a new req parameter and instead of from oldest to new they give from new to old?
paired with limit, it would be more efficient in terms of requesting new data

more efficient in what sense
you could just ask for the last event with something like limit:1, order:desc
that's how it works though, when you declare limit it assumes created_at descending order
