You mite find nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc 's simple GM bot post helpful in this endeavour, pretty sure it could be adapted for what you are trying to do: https://dergigi.com/2023/01/19/how-to-build-a-nostr-gm-bot/

Thanks:)

I think Gigi may have underestimated how simple I would need this lol. I wouldn't even know where to put that code lolol, imagine you're reading this article to a random bus driver.... That's the sort of level of simple guide I would need...

Even simpler is an rss feed made with atomstr, here's one you can follow: nostr:npub14lguqeyyfqtll2etchavksxjkeuqcxfsmyzl4nmpusvpwk55lfss3ck73u

Just add one of these relays to view the feed if it does not immediately show up:

wss://nostr.data.haus

wss://relayable.org

wss://relay.highlighter.com

This is a good one to add, it's more a podcast a day, rather than the readings, also slightly not to my taste in first impressions too (sorry). But I appreciate the a good rss submission. And I dig Atomstr:)

I wonder if maybe the workaround does involve starting my own wordpress, scheduling the posts and then sending that to atomstr. Maybe that is just as much work as manually posting. But at least I would be tied to making a post a day with no social media breaks, which I also quite enjoy. Again, none of this matters really.

I'll just end up not doing anything tbh.

Just a nice idea.

Appreciate your reply tho

Also I did write An idiot's guide to RSS on nostr lol, just an fyi lol:)

Maybe one day I'll write an idiot's guide to making a nostr bot lol;)

Yes after I went back and re-read I saw in your initial post you referenced the KJV. I have a bot that I used on irc for ages that could call up various Bible translations when queried, have been meaning to add the functionality to my service bot.

Kudos on the atomstr post, it is indeed a great tool! Will bookmark this to share with n00bz, thanks!
