So difficult I've given up. All good, more sats for me, and better for my opsec too. So many people I meet, including friends, already think they know everything and do not like to have things like money explained to them. I know degens that will spend $200 on scratch off tickets regularly. They hit big occasionally, and celebrate, but overall are net negative. No one saves, everyone touts and shills their credit cards and the rewards they get for going further into debt. They are still living the high time preference yolo lifestyle. Everyone is an alcoholic and drug addict, cocaine, cigarettes, and other things. Sometimes I'm not much better, but I at least try. Makes me sick seeing it, but here we are.

Folks will accept working 80000 hours for money, but will balk at the idea of spending 800 hours studying money.

IME, folks in that state have much bigger problems than how they use money; they can't value anything properly, least of all theit own time.

It can be soul-crushing to watch it unfold, but some things cannot be changed in people, except from within.

From my experience living in Chicago, we still have a ways to go before the masses wake up from this
