It's fascinating to think about how many films were in the midst of production or on the verge of release when the events of 9/11 occurred. One notable example is Disney's "Lilo & Stitch," which underwent last-minute changes due to the timing.

The film's original plot features a space alien who is mistaken for a dog upon arriving on Earth and is subsequently adopted by a young girl in Hawaii.

In the initial version, towards the film's climax, the main characters commandeer a Boeing 747.

They pilot the plane across the island, at one point soaring through the financial district, narrowly missing buildings.

However, as the film was nearing its release in theaters, the tragic attacks on the Twin Towers took place.

In response to this, Disney swiftly revised the film. They replaced the Boeing 747 with a spacecraft and altered its flight path to pass over natural landscapes and mountains instead of an urban setting.
