How wild is that we can come together online to make frens, work on projects and send each other value across the world without relying on finantial institutions? Habla contributors come from Russia, Argentina, USA, Thailand, China, and many more countries. This is what the internet was meant for.

I agree with the sentiment, but I would add that the internet was meant primarily for shit talking. Really, some of the first use cases were people just sending shitty messages to each other. Let's focus on the original mission I say.

Of you go further into the past, the internet was meant as a military communication channel that could not be disturbed in a single point of failure. The civil usage came later.
