oh, there is a way to charm more of them to come around?

yeah, that reminds me, i considered getting a feeder for the canaries, but the place i was in before was awful for that

here, that's a different story... i know where to get bird feeders and i have to go on a trek to those parts in the near future sometime, this is now something that i can do when i go there next (it's where i usually get my amazon stuff delivered rather than here because i live quite a ways down a nasty steep path and i'd probably get lots of missed deliveries because i can't just whip out the door and say "yo, gib me plz"

would be rad to have a bird feeder, i may have to look into it, perhaps both canaries and robins have similar taste - ie, mainly small seeds... i know the blackbirds like grubs, if i wanted more of them to come around i'd have to build a worm farm to brew them up for them to come and dig out, and idk how that would work exactly, submerged dish in the ground designed to keep the worms trapped and when it rains they are driven to the surface where the blackies and brownies would often alight to get a meal

anyway, canaries would be adequate, but it would be a bonus if i were to attract a lot of robins as well, the robins are so damn cute, they are a lot like canaries too, except more pointy beaks and a different kind of song

We used to have this bush full of berries they loved, but it died. I think they still come to see if it's still around tho😭. Not sure what it was now 🤔

What is best to plant to attract and feed robins and blackbirds? Especially all year round? #asknostr #gardening #birds #grownostr

Let's see if anyone on nostr knows 🤔

No clue what's best but when I had a garden I had both birds. Robins are very territorial though and would boss the garden. I used to get all sorts of feathered friends. I don't think it was my personality but you never know

Robins love spiders insects and worms too. Dig up a bit of the garden and you might find one following you around grabbing what it can from the soil.

They used to hand out in a bush in the garden too. Maybe it was holly? I'm not sure now. Was a while ago. And maybe eat berries from another. But yes, thank you. Good tips:)

Robins are friends

Do you have a garden? Or a place to plant stuff?
