excerpt from "TAXES and SLAVERY"

" Pass The Word

Internal Revenue Service agents,

jurists, and legislators —however august

—certainly should take no offense

at the reminder that, compared

with the Lord, you are chaff that a

mighty wind will blow away. What

system of taxation did the Lord ordain?

Exodus 30:15 tells us this:

"The rich shall not give more, and

the poor shall not give less than half

a shekel, when they give an offering

unto the Lord, to make an atonement

for your souls."

Everyone, rich and poor, is supposed

to pay the same, small amount.

This is not an income tax. The Bible,

unlike the Communist Manifesto,

does not mention income tax. The tax

it does ordain is sometimes known as

a head tax or poll tax. No Internal

Revenue Service is needed to collect

it. The South used to have poll taxes

until the. "Liberals" got rid of them.

The Bible also ordains no tax on land.

Such a tax would mean that at bottom

the government really owns it, is

letting you use it on condition that

you pay, and will confiscate it if you

don't. But, "The earth is the Lord's

and the fulness thereof." (Psalm

24:1)

The money collected in a biblically

based government is used to finance

civil functions only —the

courts and the military — to protect

private property, liberty, and life.

That's all the Bible ordains the government

to do.

From where, then, in a biblically

based government, does the money

for such worthy things as schools,

hospitals, and charity come? It comes

from the tithe. The tithe is a tax

voluntarily paid to the Lord for the

purpose. Notice that the present income

tax pretends to be "voluntary."

Would a biblical system of tithes be

voluntary in fact? How much does

The Bible say the tithe should be?

The Bible says the tithe is ten percent.

Yes, ten.

This means that of all the slave

systems we have looked at — including

our own —the antebellum South

comes closest to biblical mandates in

this regard.

Would you voluntarily pay ten percent

of your earnings to help people

who really need help; for schools and

hospitals — in place of the diabolical

monstrosity from which we are

suffering now?

Brothers and sisters, please keep

the line straight and the joyful

shouts down to a low roar! "

and definitly keep stacking!

Have a blessed day today!
