Thanks for sharing. Good piece. Do not despair brother.

psalm 43 hitting different tonight 👍

I want to be free

Would be great when more people would value freedom above convenience. Since freedom gives us everything in return, while convenience is the first step to corrupt our needs.

The way that I responsibly recycle my waste is illegal.

🤫

I'm not wasting water on a flush toilet to create a potential biological hazard when I can safely compost it. Like my ancestors.

Every law that exists you must ask yourself is it worth following. Does the risk of getting caught breaking the law outweigh the negatives of following the law?

And another thing, with regards to what plants you grow for fibre or other things.

The local government in my town is literally planting invasive callery pears which under state law are illegal to plant.

So if the council says anything I'll just report them to the state government and then my town will be bankrupt and nobody fucking wins lol

Thank you for the great text. I can defnitly understand people who feel powerless against the state. And I would not want to downplay this mismatch between actual laws who are created and what the people need.

My only criticism from my side is the cause. I am quiet certain, that it is the lack of democratic mechanisms. Not the existence of them. Meaning the solution is rather more participation than less.

Representative Democracies have only the power to replace representatives. This is a quiet low form of democratic power. I created a small Visualisation of the state below:

When we compare this with the mechanisms of a direct democracy, the mechanisms are almost the same. But there are a small amount very powerful mechanisms, which change the game for representatives completely. The two powers representatives have to create and modify laws and legitimize a budget are both controled by the voters. Every budget, that is too far from what people want, will get a low chance to be legitimated by the people. Same counts for new laws or when laws are modified. Here I have also the modified model for direct democracy:

In addition in Switzerland we have 7 leaders, which govern together instead of having one president. This makes sure that a small majority of voters can not rule over the whole country against everything the minorities think and need. And most importantly, it allows for more than two parties indefinitely.
