There is one reason alone why I have been keeping my Google account and that is Google Voice. I use that number vs giving out my main phone number in certain situations. It also helps that it is "free". Paying for a 2nd line that I will rarely use just isn't justifiable to me.

However, I'll be porting my Voice number to Hello Mobiles $5 plan sometime this month, as soon as they offer eSim. Unlimited talk & text with 500mb data for $5/month will be a perfect alternative. The limited data doesn't matter, as my main line has that covered.
