Create first, consume second: why it’s time to kick-start a new morning routine.

Is that a baby crying?

Probably…

As I rolled over, I realised it was my second daughter, who had managed to fall out of the bed we were sharing.

“God I miss her sleeping in a cot” I thought to myself…

After a swift grab of her sleep suit, I yanked her up, and helped place her head back onto the centre pillow.

Phew… I lay back down again.

After a brief pause, wait, ah yes, she’s falling back to sleep; nice.

I was left with my thoughts.

“If only her cot wasn’t in storage…”

We were in our 3rd Airbnb of the Christmas period, in between 12 month rentals, and as a Father of a young family I had plenty to reflect on.

A comment my wife quite rightly makes, “You can’t live in a Bitcoin”, echoed through my head.

She’s so right. This is hard isn’t it Jake? I had to admit it was. Indeed, on reflection I had totally under-estimated the difficulty of renting.

This was one of the moments I will remember in the future.

We are what I call “mid-trade”, in that the investment strategy we set is still playing out, and as a result we need more time.

The thesis is unfolding as we speak.

Well what is that exactly?

Some would say we’re mad, but we sold our primary place of residence back in 2022, in favour of purchasing more Bitcoin and renting for a few years.

In fact I sold all our investment properties to accumulate more Bitcoin.

What’s not to like about superior risk-reward in your portfolio?

Thankfully the investment is playing out as I predicted, with solid capital growth, however the Melbourne rental market has proved far more tricky than I expected.

Rents are increasing, vacancy rates are very low, whilst agents give preferential treatment to friends and family on the inside.

You live and you learn as they say.

Which brings me to the point of this story: I want to share more.

Specifically I want to write more.

So having being inspired to re-visit my morning routine, I am going to be setting my alarm, and waking up to get 25 minutes of uninterrupted writing in everyday.

I am going to create first.

Once that is done, my day can proceed, in the knowledge I’ve been able to scratch that creative itch.

All those problems that will arise.

Phone calls.

Emails.

Crying babies.

Appointments.

Nostr…

All of it, can be consumed second.

Speaking of which, I can hear my eldest daughter waking up…

This is day 1 of the new routine!

I look forward to writing again.

You can expect a wide range of topics, all relevant to my life, as a Dad, Entrepreneur, and Investor.

Please reach out if you have any questions at all!

Best,
Jake

You definitely have a gift for writing! Feed that creativity itch! Everything will work out in the end.

Nothing actually worth doing was ever easy, but the payoff is huge! Keep it up bro😎🤙

Thanks! Really appreciate the support

Also thanks so much for the SATS

As a content creator who’s migrated from the status quo platforms, it’s that seed of a new model, that makes me so excited

Nostr is how we break the traditional ad model of media

No longer will most information be influenced by large customers paying for attention

But rather the audience itself can reward the creator in a bearer asset of true value for value

Wow
