I get the sentiment, but it's not strictly true. I would argue that the French empire had no conscience and yet the non violent techniques employed by the Sufi Saint Ahmadu Bamba and his followers led to the liberation of the city of Touba in Senegal which is still a semi-autonomous city state and eventually the whole country from the French (though they still control the currency, a problem for BTC to fix 😏)
It is def true about the United States, non-violent means did not work, they literally slaughtered or jailed all the leaders, and now here we are.
I would also argue that it didn’t work in Senegal either seeing how the French still control the currency. They have not achieved true independence yet but will get there with BTC.
Like when the ANC finally won independence for South Africa but the infrastructure of the country and the country’s finances were still in control of the colonists and arguably still are.
Fair points, America is a different beast. Yet, I stay hopeful for the future 😊✌🏼
