SpaceX has had Gwynn Shotwell basically running the show for ~10 years now....

And Tesla might have been disruptive back in 2015, but at this point all major carmakers have arguably better EV models... To say nothing of the expensive flops of the Cybertruck and whatever that "Tesla robot" was supposed to be, two projects in which Musk took strong personal involvement.

At this point the best thing Elon Musk can do for "humanity" is to take his billions, go live on an island somewhere and play Diablo or whatever.

I wonder if xAI wasn't capital from Tesla that the took to make a standalone AI company... Tesla was supposed to have a massive AI center.

Yeah, it's hard not to imagine that there wouldn't be some sort of "creative accounting" practices happening between all of his companies...
