I’m living since more than a year in Brazil now. And I love it.
But in the last days I started to miss my home country Austria a lot.
I miss the food, I miss the people, I miss the safety, I miss that everything is organised and works more or less as intended.
I miss the winter and the cold weather. I miss the nature, the lakes, the mountains. And of course friends and family.
Perhaps time to return?
No. I think it is normal to miss your home country. But my life is here in Brazil now. I love it here very much. The people here are amazing. I'm living near the beach with my wife and daughter. I'm socially integrated. My future plans are here ;)
I understand you. I'm in the very same situation, but on the other side of the jump.
Living in Germany, but wife doesn't want to go back to Southamerica, as she thinks there's more future here than there.
But there will be a soon a tipping point if trends stay like this.
Uhhh. More future in Germany than South America? I see it exactly the other way around. The EU is doomed imo. The trajectory is clear in my eyes.
