Could go to 1ml.com and search for the best connected nodes. I normally go for Tor nodes. Tbh, most big nodes have crazy big minimal channel open limits which are not necessarily explicit. Whatever channel size you're happy with, just go down the list and try opening channels to them. They'll simply refuse if you're not meeting threshold so nothing to lose trying optimal choices first. I found the boltz node to be a good bet, enables me to connect to pretty much everywhere on the network I've tried so far.
I am patching up my lightning channels this weekend.
Any recommendations/best practices to follow when opening a new channel? I know the bigger the better. But what’s the difference between opening channels with the monster nostr:npub1hcwcj72tlyk7thtyc8nq763vwrq5p2avnyeyrrlwxrzuvdl7j3usj4h9rq node vs something still routing payments, but smaller?
