Sometimes I say things that come across as too toxic… my point is not to ridicule but rather shine some light on hot topics
To me, this is part of learning and debating ideas

Nostr is way better than twitter in this regard as we don’t have big accounts trying to control narrative
I think nostr represents what universities used to stand for. Anyone coming up with novel ideas that buck old norms and duking it out to find the truth.
That discovery process can't happen if you overpolice dissident thoughts too early.
nostr is a virtual 'speakers corner' like hyde park in the UK.
Speakers' Corner is often held up to demonstrate freedom of speech, as anyone can turn up unannounced and talk on almost any subject, although always at the risk of being heckled by regulars. The corner was frequented by Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, George Orwell, C. L. R. James, Walter Rodney, Ben Tillett, Marcus Garvey, Kwame Nkrumah, and William Morris. 🤙
This is what freedom of speech should be all about. Incentivize and cultivate different ideas and opinions 💜
I believe Nostr fills a void of the inherent human drive to be genuine and seek discourse in good faith. Everything outside of that bubble by default has to be agenda driven, which in turn is in bad faith. Nostr is about genuine consensus from what I can tell so far - I love it and what it stands for.
