Some places are starting to put a 30% tip option.

I used to automatically click the 25%. I did it for the longest time.

It's definitely getting out of hand.

Rather than tipping these people, I'm going to start putting that money into a lightening wallet and pushing it through NOstr. Arguably more useful. Plus, it's kind of annoying that if I go out with one other person, I don't spend less than $120 to $220 on a decent meal including that tip.

At this point we are just supporting inflation and lack of wage growth

I would not mourn the death of tipping culture. Let the employer pay the full wage and include that cost in the product.

Even worse, they want the tip BEFORE you get the service. All delivery apps. Nope.

I only tip for good service and in cash (mind you I live is Argentina)

bad service no tip

good service 10% tip

great service 20% tip

Had more than one experience in the UK this summer where I was asked to give a tip before being served after ordering via a QR code. Absolute joke.
