Colin Farrell’s transformation is incredible. Unrecognizable. His voice and accent too. Top tier acting.
The first couple of episodes I was a bit meh because to me it looked like they hadn't been able to make up their minds about whether to make a comedy, a serious story, or what. But after a couple more, it does come together very well.

I mean, Colin fucking Farrell. He even nails the mix of NJ accent + speech impediment. Uncanny. I do wish they had gone a bit lighter with the make up, so we could see more of his actual facial expressions and work. But still, I get and respect the reasons why they must have chosen the opposite path.
Totally agree. It is a bit weird that you can’t recognize him at all. Facial expressions are a big part of acting. The accent, the voice and the speech impediment: he’s nailing it
