It's even worse. Most people don't have access to facts about most things. What they think of as facts are curated information, already with stories attached. Other facts are not worth analysing at all ("a politician said..." is a useless fact, when a politician or bureaucrat opens their mouth, what comes out is a campaign, not facts).
