Hi nostr, hope yall have had a good Sunday. We mostly goofed off today since the weather was cloudy and drizzly. Someone on nostr recently recommended the movie "Where The Red Fern Grows", and we watched it today. It really is a good, wholesome movie about a boy who bought and trained coon hounds. I would recommend it also, so thanks to whoever mentioned it before.

I went on ebay today to look for another used Lenovo Thinkpad, and found one for $199. I plan to install Linux Mint on it for my husband, because his old Chromebook finally is dying (I've been trying to convince him to try Linux for a while now, and he's finally agreed). And one of the the things I love about Linux is I can buy a "new" laptop for a couple hundred bucks, then customize it just the way I want. I've had good luck with Thinkpads, so I like to stick with those.

Anyway, its been a restful day for a change. Yall have a good evening nostr friends.

Mint is great, and gosh I wish I could convince my mom to do that... LOL

My entire family is beyond hope. I just leave them be ๐Ÿ˜…

Maybe one day they'll at least buy Bitcoin.

Good night โœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿงก

ThinkPads are great. I like them too. Lenovo generally makes good hardware.

Maria, have you considered hosting a series of workshops for newbie women to better understand this tech? Or know of any? You seem to be very knowledgeable! I would totally go somewhere for an total and immersive weekend where I could (a) get taught hands on, (b) have my questions answered and (c) go home with a good basic understanding AND use of this tech.

Well no I havent considered that Kerimae. It does sound interesting though. I am truly not a very techy person, its just something I learned to do for myself a few years ago when I got very frustrated with Windows, plus I wanted to find alternatives for more privacy, etc. I just started watching lots of videos and learned that way. But i'll think about what you said, and thank you for the idea.
