When you invite new people to nostr, do you just send them your npub with a link to a guide and then tell them good luck, or do you show them everhting you know how to do, to get started?
I'm hoping to do the latter with my local group of agorist pals, which is why I'm always trying to learn #allthethings myself so I can help #grownostr with my peeps too.
I focus on people that are already on nostr. I’d help someone google it and share my npub or NIP-05 if the conversation goes that way, but I don’t try to “convert” people to come here 😃
The people I'm personally referring to are interested, just lost in trying to figure the tech out. I didn't ask about convincing anyone. Maybe I phrased the question poorly.

Agreed. I just realized they have an iOS app and that was holding me back because a few of our group are iOS users. The only thing I hate about Primal's built in wallet for nostr is that it's built on Strike's KYC (only slightly less invasive than trying to start to use Strike lightning app).
I send them to my quick Nostr onboard tutorial video I did using Primal and tell them to ask any questions they have.
I was actually contemplating this very thing and what to do to improve my advocacy. I was sending a guest on my podcast a link to the onboarding video, wondering if I could do more.
Thanks. I remember that video, I sent it to two local Freedom Cells I'm in, on Telegram. There are 3 of us here but they aren't very active. We'll probably do a deeper dive together soon. Glad you mentioned Primal. I completely forgot that they had an iOS app, one of them is on Damus and I think teaching them Primal is easier. Especially since the have the native built in nostr wallet too.
