How many lives are worth proving a theory? Medicine argues none, though we did derive quite a bit of information from Nazi medical testing. Personally, I don't give a shit about the economy or how well wealthy people are doing, because I know my own success has fuck all to do with them. Realistically, my own drive determines what I can do far more than some rich asshole I've never met.

and language models only ran on wetware. so consider how much of what we call our identity is a product of some construct within our active language model. Whatever quantification metric you chose, the next question will be the same. Will introducing this next tech be likely to increase or decrease the individuality metric.

this is the central question as we hurtle towards an evolutionary event or a cataclysm or both.

I have no answers. I have no predictions except we are gonna see what a good entropy pump can do in real time.
