Why explore life? Why analyze it? Why think about existence? Why try to find the purpose of life and the truth? Why?

When you try several things and get pleasure, it becomes boring. Then you want even more pleasure. Then you start pursuing it more and more, and you become insensitive. And after that, it becomes so boring that you don't even want it anymore.

So, in this pursuit of pleasure, you will just go deeper and deeper, chasing more intense emotions. And it has no end, like it doesn't lead to any progress. It just, like drug addicts chasing their drugs, where can they end? Nowhere. It doesn't lead to any meaningful, interesting life.

But when you pursue truth, when you chase this question, "What is the purpose of life?", there are so many interesting branches your life can go to. This journey may be so diverse, so intense, so unique.

And it leads to progress. It makes you grow, it makes you smarter, healthier, stronger, more resilient, and you become wiser. And you start experiencing your existence in a much more interesting way. You become more sensitive, not less. When you pursue pleasure, you become less sensitive over time, and it leads to dullness and to death, ultimately. But when you pursue progress, when you pursue truth, you become more sensitive over time. And the more sensitive you become, the more interesting your life becomes, because you experience it even more vividly.

And the ultimate purpose of life is progress and experience. So, the closer you go to that purpose, the more interesting your life becomes. And you feel it, you feel greater, much better, and you get better results.

So, just from the point of an interesting life, it is worth pursuing progress and purpose much more than pleasure. You can try, you can pursue pleasure, but that path is very short, and you can just go through it in several months, even. And the pursuit of truth may last forever.
