No Bitcoin billionaire is coming to fund your work, and grants are like solo mining Bitcoin on a Bitaxe. Every project you start will likely require you to do everything yourself. Don’t rely on others, until your idea is fully realized, no one will truly care. Even when it’s built, most people will give it a brief glance before moving on. Build for yourself, create something you’re passionate about. Get lost in the excitement of your ideas, because that excitement might be your only reward. Be ready to drain your savings account to zero. This is the reality of Bitcoin and open-source development. But if you’re the developer I think you are, nothing—least of all this message—will stop your work.
