If I'm honest there's way much more to do than just collect Sats if we're going to make shit better. Obviously all Zap apps are great but folks are gonna need to short Spotify, YouTube etc. if they like underground music, the business model isn't economically viable for independents.

Sure, if you only dig big artists, that's cool. I'm never going to tell people what they should or shouldn't like. Music is a vibe that can touch the soul and we're all different but without grass roots, that'll die out too. Unless you just want music made by robots?

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek announced he see's the value of music at close to zero Sats. Sure, the cost of recording has come down and many of us work at home. However, guitars still cost Sats, drums, synths, cellos, trumpets... expensive items! Ask any musician what percentage of income goes into gear, I can't think of another profession that does that!? Cutting vinyl ain't cheap and neither is food, clothing and shelter. You're the last people I need to explain inflation to!

My friends and colleagues are worth a lot more than 0 Sats and we've always been awkward, rebellious bastards to the point of it being cliche. We've been pushing back since day dot and we still are, even if we go a bit mental from time to time. I'm not gonna give you life advice.

I'm positive about the future. We do cool, niche, shit! Zap-Stream look interesting and the label I work for have some wicked artists and musicians to showcase, bone fide legends (like seriously). So it's on me to figure out the tech, it may take a minute but I'm sure I'll get there. I'll document as much as I can. If I'm struggling tech wise (baring in mind I have my own home server and Fediverse instance) then your average X or Meta enthusiast is gonna be fucked! Haha.

Anyway, I've clearly had too much caffeine this morning. Back to work...

baring in mind they did not design with empathy hehe time shall be generous though. keep going .
