I find it unreal that every statist goes to that nonsense first. Mofos crossed this continent in buggies without maps or roads a few hundred yrs ago and now we have come to this. Idiocracy has been truly fulfilled😞🤣🍻🫡
Great take!

Since the local council privatised the roads are actually fucked.
We've always had to do road work ourselves but now, now the company in charge comes out and internationally destroys people's roads to make them pay to fix it again.
Same story with our internet, it was meant to be high speed internet for every Australia for 40 billion, it got privatised and so far it has cost tax payers 180 billions and resulted in slower internet speeds then before.
The previous government also privatised their bureaucrats, which increased the price 10x because the Labor hire companies and foreign multinational investment corporations all have to take their cut.
All it does is make things more expensive and less efficient. Lining the pockets of politicians in the process.
It's still public money that pays for everything when it gets privatised.
Except its by choice, not under threat of violence
And no fucking shit things still get paid for by the public? Who the fuck else would pay? Fairies and unicorns?
Most businesses are now fiat gifts. Probably a company shouldn't own all the roads either as they just extract from people too like a middle man grift without providing value.
Most local communities could probably take care of their roads easily enough in some fair and voluntary way, but the money needs to be fixed first.
Taxes don't pay for stuff.
Taxes are removed from circulation to control inflation.
Its been this way since the 1970s when they changed the money system to debt tokens.
