I just finished gold warriors by sterling seagrave. He alleged there is a lot more gold in the world than is actually reported much of it "black gold" which refers not to oil but illegally stolen gold which funds an entire black economy. Things like private armies, political parties, intelligence agencies, banking etc etc. also alleges the price of gold is fixed artificially, de beers diamond style price fixing.
