Doesn’t it depend on what you’re doing? For my use, I’ve been content to sit about 5 years behind the market, buying parts and builds (or being handed them) from people who want to offload their last new shiny guilt-free so they can buy a new shiny.

That won’t hunt for gaming, though. Gotta be bleeding edge
